Don't take the wife to work here..

We have been commisioned to suppy images for a new brochure for a Major North West Jeweller, Peter Jackson. To be honest its rare for Stephanie to come on commercial shoots but for her to ask at least a dozen times if she can come on a commercial shoot you just know plans are being made.

Needless to say after three days in Peter's fantastic shops I have xmas and birthdays sorted out for the next ten years at least. Some amazing products in these shops and given my love of watches and the wife's love of Diamonds very intersting locations indeed.

Here is one of the images from the Preston Store. Which brings me on to another subject, Location Flash Equipment. Whilst I have never been a great fan of Flash pictures and the strobist style in general, I do have a need for really compact efficient location flash gear which is not reliant on mains power both for commercial work and also weddings and portraits.

I think I have found the answer to my needs with the new Elincrom Ranger Quadra system. First time out on Peters shoot and I am very please with how they work. After a more indepth test I will pass on my findings.

Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the flash situation - I mess around so much myself with different solutions, it would be great to have a 'one size fits all' answer!
