Alison & Andrew

Last weekend saw the worst of the wet weather, certainly the worst we have worked in this year. I photographed the wedding of Alison & Andrew in the Ribble Valley followed by one of my favourite venues for the reception, Stanley House at Mellor in Lancashire.

The bride and groom were very lucky to say the least, whilst the rain was heavy as Alison arrived at church (See the picture below to give some idea of just how wet) as the church ceremony came to a close and we all went outside the sun broke through the thick cloud and we had a few hours of dry weather.

In fact when we arrived at Stanley House guest were able to enjoy the hotel grounds and get some fresh air. All in all a better day than we expected in the end.

As for Alison she kept beaming all day despite the rain and as a result we captured some lovely images. Thanks for the smiles guys and I hope you enjoy the pictures.
