A little bit of a change

For some time now we have shot all our weddings on .jpg format never to be honest seeing much of an advantage with raw files for wedding work. However over the last few weeks I have been looking at raw conversion software and decided to give Adobe Lightroom a try.

I have been amazed by the ease of use and speed of this package and as a result the last 4 weddings have all been shot in raw. This is now a standard component in our workflow and we just love it. The ability to preserve detail and work on multiple images is a big advantage. Yes you need more memory and as we backup in camera to SD cards were possible we needed a big increase in the amount of memory we take on a wedding but prices have dropped so much of late we can now purchase 2GB cards for as little as £20.00 from our normal supplier.

Over the next few days I will be working on helping a couple of training clients with workflow issues. Rest assured Lightroom will be playing a very big part in these sessions.
